We caught up with Jerome, Implementation manager at Foods Connected Australia to hear what attracted him to a career at Foods Connected, his proudest moments and what he's looking forward to in the next year.
1. What attracted you to a career at Foods Connected?
The broad nature of the food industry was probably the biggest attraction for me, being able to work in a wide variety of roles and gaining exposure at every step in the supply chain from farm to fork, meaning no two days are the same.
2. What has been the proudest moment at Foods Connected so far?
Seeing firsthand the migration of a wide number of day-to-day business processes onto the system with my customers here in Australia, and the vast improvements in ways of working this has brought their teams to date. This has been especially relevant for NPD, quality, and logistics functions, when comparing before and after Foods Connected implementation and how the platform has simplified and digitised each area.
3. Tell us something not many people would guess about you?
I love to travel! Getting out of the city on the weekends or time off, to the beach, a mountain trail or further out into the outback areas is something I really enjoy. The Australian weather makes it slightly more enjoyable too!
4. What advice would you give those looking to kick start a career at Foods Connected?
My advice would be to listen carefully to the customers needs and aim to exceed their expectations utilising the many features’ Foods Connected has in each tool. Aim to continually improve your knowledge of the system also and don’t be afraid to reach out to the wide number of tool specialists within the business, who are more than happy to help!
5. What are you most looking forward to in the next year?
Seeing the team continue to grow across the various markets we now operate in, especially APAC and new customers coming on board as well, expanding our reach across the industry, and helping Foods Connected continue to develop its offering as an industry leading platform.
