In his 15 months since joining Foods Connected, Koentadi Hadinoto has progressed from a graduate to a doctor. Here's how he did it.
1. What attracted you to your chosen career path?
My interest in the food industry comes from my family's history in the palm oil sector back in Indonesia. This background gave me a deep appreciation for the importance of keeping our food supply going. During my undergraduate study, I was always drawn to food-related projects and enjoyed understanding how they work. This interest led me to pursue a PhD focused on innovation and meat safety, which I believe are key areas for the industry's growth. My academic journey has strengthened my desire to combine business knowledge with project management skills while staying connected to the food supply chain.
2. What has been the proudest (or most accomplished) moment of your time with Foods Connected so far?
Reflecting on my time at Foods Connected, my career progression is undoubtedly my proudest accomplishment. Over the past 15 months, I’ve evolved from a recent graduate to a professional dedicated to enhancing our customers’ processes and advancing alongside Foods Connected. The trust and opportunities provided by the management team have been pivotal in my development, enabling me to make substantial contributions to the creation of tools that deliver value to our livestock customers.
3. Tell us something not many people would guess about you
I enjoy solo travelling. When I have a holiday, I would try to book a plane and visit a new country that I have never been to. I am also a gourmet. I love trying out new cuisine. When I visit a new city, I would make sure that I put a time to try all foods that the city can offer.
4. What advice would you give those looking to kick-start a career at Foods Connected?
Starting your career at Foods Connected is an exciting step! You’ll learn lots of great stuff that’ll really help you grow. Sure, the first few months might be a bit full on, but just take it easy and always look for ways to get even better. Don’t forget, everyone here is super supportive, from your work buddies to the big management team, and we’re all rooting for you!
5. What are you most looking forward to in the next couple of months?
What I’m most looking forward to is our upcoming mindset coaching session. Personal development coaching is essential for me as I progress in my career. Our previous session, which delved into understanding different work personalities, equipped me with tools to better communicate with stakeholders who have work styles that differ from mine. I’m keen to continue this journey of personal and professional growth. These coaching sessions are more than mere training; they are stepping stones to becoming the best version of myself. I’m excited about the positive impact they will have on both my development and our team at Foods Connected.
